Adverbial Phrases คือ.?

 

Adverbial Phrases กริยาวิเศษณ์วลี ก็คือ วลีหรือกลุ่มคำที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นคำกริยาวิเศษณ์ Adverbs ใช้ขยายคำกริยา (Verbs) คำคุณศัพท์ (Adjectives) หรือขยายคำกริยาวิเศษณ์ (Adverbs) ด้วยกันเอง รวมทั้งยังใช้ขยายประโยค (Sentences) ทั้งประโยคอีกด้วย เพื่อให้ได้ความหมายที่ชัดเจนและสมบูรณ์ยิ่งขึ้น

ทีนี้.. เรามาดูกันว่า Adverbial Phrases นี้ มีอะไรบ้าง และมีหลักการใช้อย่างไร..?

- Adverbial Phrase of Manner กริยาวิเศษณ์วลีบอกอาการ เช่น like an angel, in a low voice, in silence, in a polite way, like a baby ฯลฯ

- Adverbial Phrases of Place กริยาวิเศษณ์วลีบอกสถานที่ เช่น anywhere near the place, in the back, by the side of the building, near the park, in Japan ฯลฯ

- Adverbial Phrases of Time กริยาวิเศษณ์วลีบอกเวลา เช่น in a minute, after the game, every day, in the afternoon, during the winter, at about 5 pm. ฯลฯ

- Adverbial Phrases of Reason กริยาวิเศษณ์วลีบอกเหตุผล เช่น to impress her class mates, in order to live, to find gold, to make a fortune, to see him ฯลฯ

Adverbial Phrases สามารถใช้ในลักษณะต่างๆ ดังต่อไปนี้

1. ใช้ทำหน้าที่ขยายคำกริยา Verbs หรือคำคุณศัพท์ Adjectives ให้มีความหมายชัดเจน หรือเด่นชัดยิ่งขึ้น 

• Tim goes to work by bike. (ทิมไปทำงานด้วยจักรยาน)
• Teacher speaks in a very loud voice. (ครูพูดด้วยน้ำเสียงที่ดังมาก)
• She’ll come round to see you in one hour.  (เธอจะมาหาคุณในอีก 1 ชม.)
• Tom interrupts me every five minutes!  (ทอมขัดจังหวะผมทุกๆ 5 นาที)
• I always feel terrible during the summer. (ฉันมักจะรู้สึกแย่มากในช่วงฤดูร้อน)

2. ใช้ทำหน้าที่เป็นส่วนเติมเต็ม (Complements) ให้กับกริยาเชื่อม (Linking verb) หรือกรรม (Object)

• The bank is located near the bus stop.  (ธนาคารตั้งอยู่ใกล้ป้ายรถเมล์)
• She seems in a good mood.  (เธอดูเหมือนจะอารมณ์ดี)
• The teacher sent Jim to the hospital. (ครูส่งจิมไปโรงพยาบาล)
• Please put the book on the shelf.  (กรุณาวางหนังสือบนชั้น)

3. ใช้ทำหน้าที่ขยายประโยค (Sentences) ให้ได้ใจความชัดเจนขึ้น

• After the film, they walked to the Chinese restaurant.  (หลังจากดูหนังเสร็จ พวกเขาก็เดินไปที่ร้านอาหารจีน)
• As often as necessary, I’ll help you out. (บ่อยเท่าที่จำเป็น ผมจะช่วยคุณเอง)
• To be honest, I hate him.  (บอกตรงๆนะ ฉันเกลียดเขา)
• In my view, she shouldn’t do that. (ในมุมมองของผม เธอไม่ควรทำอย่างนั้น)
• To see the view, Jimmy climbed to the peak. (เพื่อดูวิว จิมมี่ปีนขึ้นไปบนยอดเขา)

ซึ่งทั้งหมดนี้  เป็นตัวอย่าง Adverbial Phrases คำกริยาวิเศษณ์วลีในประโยคต่างๆ ที่นำมาใช้ขยายคำกริยา Verbs ขยายคำคุณศัพท์ Adjectives หรือแม้กระทั่งขยายประโยค (Sentences) ทั้งประโยค เพื่อให้ได้ความหมายหรือใจความที่ชัดเจนและสมบูรญ์ยิ่งขึ้น
